Welcome to the brand new website of Roemichs International School, which is a warm, friendly and successful co-educational school situated within the city of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Roemichs International School can be found within a large, green and secure compound that is also a welcoming, stimulating and calm environment for children to learn in. It provides students and pupils from Creche to post WAEC with an education that is rooted in both the British National Curriculum and the National Curriculum.
Following the message stated in its logo, “Roemichs - Excellence in all things”, it is our aim to educate all our learners to the highest levels of academic achievement, to enable them to reach and expand their potential, and to prepare them to become productive, responsible, ethical, creative and compassionate members of a global society.
Furthermore, we believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all and that all children should learn to value religious and cultural differences. Our school strives to be at the centre of the local community with positive and effective links to the wider and global communities.
In the Early Years School our classes exist to provide a safe, developmentally inclusive environment for toddlers, preschool, nursery and reception children with an aim and focus to provide a stimulating early learning and child care experience which promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.
In the Primary School we foster an enthusiastic, creative community of learners prepared to continue their intellectual, emotional, and physical development by equipping our young learners with the skills and mindset to thrive and then take on the world through using a more inclusive curriculum, addressing a range of learning styles, offering a wide array of diversity efforts and programs, and by participating in the wider community.
In the secondary school we aim to develop well-rounded and thoughtful students prepared to cope with a changing post-modern and globalized world. We strive to provide our graduates with an academic foundation based on both National and International examinations that will enable them to gain admission to the colleges or universities of their choice, anywhere in the World, as well as to succeed in those institutions.
