Roemichs Student Award System
Roemichs has a reward system that recognises performance and effort in class and a separate system that is used to reward effort in behavior and tidiness of their classroom.
A Merit System is in place to recognize and reward students’ outstanding performance in class and co-curricular activities, character and community service.
We aim to encourage all students to do their best at school and our merit award system is another step in developing a positive attitude in our students.
There are 5 levels of recognition
1. Bronze award – 25 merits
2. Silver award – 50 merits
3. Gold award – 75 merits
4. Diamond award – 100 merits
5. Platinum award – 125 merits
Beyond this are the Principal’s Award (150 merits) with a Letter of Commendation and the Award Honour Board (600points).
Individual students are given a certificate when they have achieved stipulated targets.
The second reward system is a weekly competition between junior school classes and between the senior school classes for best behaved/best maintained class. The class of the week in each area of the school will display the framed certificate for a period of one week.
The school believes that this will encourage the learners to continue to work hard in all they do and also keep their environment clean.
